Getting started

Four steps. One phone call to begin.

You've probably already done the hardest part — deciding to look. Here's exactly what happens next, so nothing about this feels uncertain.

Call (305) 586-2953 — free consultation
  1. A free 30-minute phone consultation

Call us. Tell us about your child — what you’re seeing, what school or your pediatrician has said, what you’re hoping for. We’ll listen, answer your questions honestly, and tell you whether we’re the right fit. If we’re not, we’ll say so.

    No cost, no obligation.

  2. Insurance & payment verification

We work with several insurance companies and will help you verify whether we’re in network with your plan. We also accept the Family Empowerment Scholarship and private pay — we’ll walk you through whichever route fits your family.

We handle the verification legwork with you.

  3. Assessment & individualized plan

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst meets your child and conducts an assessment. From it, they design a fully individualized intervention program — specific goals, specific strategies, built around your child’s strengths and needs.

Every plan is BCBA-designed. No templates.

  4. Therapy begins — and you’re part of it

Your child starts sessions at our South Miami center with their RBT, supervised by their BCBA. Parent training runs alongside the program from the start, so progress at the center becomes progress everywhere.

Home and school visits may be available on request.

Questions every parent asks

What is ABA therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientific approach to understanding behavior — the most extensively researched therapy for children with Autism. In practice it means: understand why a behavior happens, teach meaningful skills step by step, reinforce progress positively, and measure everything so the program adapts to your child.

What ages do you work with?

We work with children and adolescents. Our Launchpad school readiness program is specifically designed for learners ages 3–5.

What do BCBA and RBT mean?

A BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) holds a master’s-level national certification and designs and supervises every treatment program. An RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) is a certified technician who delivers 1:1 sessions under BCBA supervision. Maven in Behavior is BCBA-founded and owned.

Do you take my insurance?

We work with several insurance companies — Florida Blue, Aetna, Cigna, Magellan, Beacon, among others — and accept the Family Empowerment Scholarship and private pay. Plans change frequently, so the fastest answer is one phone call: we’ll verify your specific plan and network status together.

Where do sessions happen?

We are a center-based practice — sessions happen at our South Miami therapy center, purpose-built for learning. Home and school visits may be available upon request.

How involved are parents?

Very — by design. Parent training and consultations are provided alongside every child’s individualized plan, so you understand the programming and can carry skills into daily life. Therapy that stays at the center isn’t finished.

What is The Launchpad?

Our flagship school readiness program for learners ages 3–5: a comprehensive, ABA-based program that runs through the school year, plus a summer intensive. It builds the exact skills a classroom asks of a young learner.
