What this policy covers

This policy explains how Maven In Behavior Inc. ("Maven in Behavior", "we") handles information collected through this website. It does not cover health information we receive as your child's healthcare provider — that is protected under federal law (HIPAA) and described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.

What we collect on this website

Information you give us directly: when you use our request-information form or contact us, we ask for your name, phone number, email (optional), who you are seeking services for, their age, which services interest you, and a good time to call. If you email or call us, we receive whatever you choose to share.

Information collected automatically: standard technical data such as pages visited, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and how you found us. We use this only to understand and improve the website.

How we use it

To respond to your inquiry, schedule your free consultation, provide and coordinate our services, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Who helps us process it

Our website is designed, built, and maintained by our web agency, Forward Dawn LLC (Miami, Florida), which operates the site on our behalf. Inquiries you submit through the site are delivered to our practice, including through our customer-relationship platform (HighLevel, also known as GoHighLevel) when it is configured, or by email. Standard website hosting infrastructure also processes technical data needed to serve you the site.

Each provider processes information only to provide its service to us. We do not permit them to use your information for their own purposes.

Cookies & similar tools

We keep this minimal: only what the site needs to function, plus simple aggregate analytics. We do not run advertising trackers. Details are in our Cookie & Tracking Notice at /cookies.

Email & communications (CAN-SPAM)

If we send you commercial email, it will identify us as the sender, use a truthful subject line, include our physical address, and contain a working way to opt out. Opt-out requests are honored promptly — within 10 business days at the latest. Opting out of marketing never affects communications about your child’s care.

How long we keep it

Website inquiries: as long as needed to handle your request and a reasonable period after. If you become a client, records are kept as required by healthcare, insurance, tax, and other laws — clinical record retention is described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.

Security & breach notification (Florida FIPA)

We take reasonable measures to protect personal information collected through this site, including encryption in transit and limiting who can access it. As a Florida business, we comply with the Florida Information Protection Act (Fla. Stat. § 501.171): if a breach of security affects your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires — without unreasonable delay and no later than 30 days after we determine a breach occurred — and notify the Florida Department of Legal Affairs when required. Health information breaches are additionally governed by federal (HIPAA/HITECH) rules.

Children (COPPA)

Our services support children, but this website is directed to parents, caregivers, and professionals — not to children. Consistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. Information a parent or guardian provides about their child through our forms is treated as an inquiry from the adult. If you believe a child has submitted information to us directly, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices & rights

You can ask what personal information we hold about you from this website, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to legal retention requirements). Rights over your child’s health records are separate and described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.

When we update this policy we will change the date at the top of this page.
